Hey Matt,

Last I heard, they'd only won 5 senate seats. I thought you said 6. Anyway, it's likely to happen, so I don't mind paying up. I might as well give the money to you before the government takes it.

As a matter of fact, I'll be out in Catawissa on the weekend of the 15th, clinging to guns and religion while I still can. If you or anyone else in the family would like to stop out between 11 and 3 on Sunday, we can make it official. I'll either be in church or out hunting the rest of the time.

For the record, I'm happy for President Elect Obama. He won fair and square without making the kinds of attacks that were to prevalent during the other campaigns. Now I hope he will keep his promise to end the partisanship and govern for all the people. You can tell me about that and about your current health insurance plan when we get together.
